Warwick is one of the UK’s great success stories. In less than fifty years since being founded it become one of the UK’s best universities, consistently at the top of UK league tables.
One-third of our students are from overseas and we are the university of choice for over 45 international governments and sponsoring bodies. We have a truly cosmopolitan campus where every student is considered 'international'; this means that through inter-cultural learning and experiences we equip our graduates to become successful citizens on a global stage.
Warwick is the university that champions independent thinking. It has been founded on academic excellence, its entrepreneurial spirit became one of the key drivers of its success. Companies tap into Warwick knowledge to ensure they remain at the cutting edge within their industries. In the last Research Assessment Exercise, Warwick was ranked 7th overall in the UK, with 65% of the University’s research rated as 3* (internationally excellent) or 4* (world-leading).
Among departments achieving very high ranking in their units of assessment were Film Studies (1st), History (2nd), Pure Mathematics (2nd), French (2nd), Economics (3rd), and Italian (3rd). Almost 90% of the academic staff were submitted in the last RAE.
