Warwick campus accommodation is second to none. Purpose-built residences provide over 6,200 rooms for students on both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, all within 10 minutes’ walk of our academic and social spaces. Some accommodation is ensuite and some consists of study bedrooms with washbasins; there are traditional university halls, as well as flats, for between five and twelve students, with shared kitchens and bathrooms. All have network ports and high speed network/internet access, and all are furnished and maintained to a high standard.
Highest priority for campus accommodation is given to first year undergraduates who have accepted an offer from Warwick as their first choice and apply for accommodation by 31 July of the year they’re due to start their course.
Career services at Warwich University provides its students with the following assisatcne:
Graduate students receive career support during their studies and after leaving the University. This includes: face-to-face, email or phone advice and support with CVs, job applications, mock interviews and assessment centres, as well getting access to our vacancies database, including graduate jobs and internships for up to three years post graduation.
Over 50% of all UK students take on paid jobs during their time at university. At Warwick we’re realistic about this and try to help you find part-time jobs on campus with flexible hours so that you do not get behind with your studies. We have our own employment agency, Unitemps, that offers a wide range of jobs on campus, including clerical work, webdesign, retail and bar work. You can work in the Students’ Union (bar staff, stewards, technical crew), in the Arts Centre (stewards, back stage assistants) or in the Library or the University offices. You might choose to work only in the vacations, helping with the organisation of conferences, or join the Warwick Welcome Service which runs activities to help prospective students make informed decisions.
The campus occupies 290 hectares on three adjacent sites, which are characterised by pleasant lakes and luscious woods, magnificent flowers and charming landscaped gardens.
The University of Warwick is within 3 miles away from the centre of Coventry, one of the major cities in the UK. Each year Coventry hosts the Godiva Festival, known as the UK’s biggest and best free family music festival. You can also enjoy award-winning city attractions such as the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum and the Coventry Transport Museum.
The 18th century town of Royal Leamington Spa is also within easy reach of campus: it’s home to lots of Warwick students. Plus, Birmingham, the UK’s official second city, is a mere 20 minutes away from Coventry train station. Or the bright lights of London are just an hour’s train journey away.
We’re also close to historic centres like Kenilworth, Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s birthplace. London is within 2 hours by train.
