Entry requirements

International Foundation

  • Applicants with the Attestat o Srednem Obschem Obrazovanii (Certificate of Secondary Education) with a grade average of 4 out of 5
  • IELTS of 5.5 (with min 5.0 in each component) or equivalent; or 5.5 in each component for 4/5 integrated foundation


Undergraduate/Bachelors

  • Applicants with the Attestat o Srednem Obchem Obrazovanii (Certificate of Secondary Education) plus International Foundation year or equivalent foundation course; or
  • Students with one or two years of study at recognized University may be eligible for Year One entry;
  • IELTS of 6.0-7.5, depending on course. Please send any additional questions to University of Nottingham.


Postgraduate Taught / Masters

  • An honours degree at 2:2 level or above (or international equivalent) in an appropriate subject;
  • For Russian students a specialist diploma or bachelor's degree (bakalavr) from a recognised University with average grade of 4 out of 5;
  • IELTS of 6.0-7.5, depending on course. Please send any additional questions to University of Nottingham.


Postgraduate Research / PhD

  • For PhD, an honours degree at 2:1 level or above (or international equivalent) in an appropriate subject;
  • For MPhil or other Research, an honours degree at 2:2 level or above (or international equivalent) in an appropriate subject;
  • Masters level qualification from a prestigious university;
  • Research proposal is also required. Students are encouraged to contact a potential supervisor or the relevant University of Nottingham school before making an application.

How to apply

Undergraduate

Applications for undergraduate programme are accepted through the UK's central universities application organization, UCAS. The application process usually starts the September prior to the year of entry with a deadline of January 15. Applications after the deadline could be considered if there are still spaces available.


Postgraduate Taught and Research

All students applying for postgraduate programmes are encouraged to send applications online using University’s online Applicants' Portal. The University advises students to apply as early as possible before the start of their degree. Research degrees (PhD, MPhil) begin at various times. Some programmes have earlier deadlines.
