University of Colorado Boulder

Student life

CU Boulder offers a variety of political student organizations, over 20 sport clubs, and lots of other attraction like Boulder Farmers' Market, Flagstaff Mountain and Summit Center, Pearl Street Mall and Downtown, Twenty-Ninth Street Mall, Chautauqua Park and others. Thus, Boulder is also a great place for recreation. You can go hiking, mountain biking, swimming, fishing, camping, and tons of other things in the area around campus. 

Accommodation

Currently freshmen and others attending the University of Colorado Boulder have an option of 24 on- and off-campus residence halls. Residence halls have 17 varieties of room types from singles to four-person rooms and others with apartment style amenities. Statistics says that 95% of first-year students and 29% of all undergraduates living in college housing.

The Campus

The main CU-Boulder campus is located south of the Pearl Street Mall. It consists of academic and residential buildings as well as research facilities. The East Campus is about a quarter mile from the main campus and is composed mainly of athletic fields and research buildings.


Among unique facilities provided by Boulder are natural history museum, art museum and galleries, heritage center, observatory, planetarium and science center, electron microscopes, outdoor theater, video interactive foreign language laboratory, mountain research station, centrifuge laboratory, engineering lab, multipurpose conference center, concert hall, multi-disciplinary information technology center and many others.


Career services

90% of students are employed, freelancing, or continuing their education six months after graduation in 2016. Representative Employers: Atlas Towers; Colorado State Bank & Trust; Ernst & Young; Purple Land Management; Smartlink, LLC; WILD Foundation and many others.
