• a good honours degree in law (usually a 2:2 degree or above), OR a good joint honours degree (2:2 or above) where the major component is in law eg Accounting and Law or Combined Studies;
• a Graduate Diploma in Law (CPE), Legal Practice Course or Bar Professional Training Course; or
• a qualification as a solicitor or barrister.
• IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no element below 6.0.
  

When to apply?

We strongly suggest that applicants who require a visa to study in the UK ensure that their application and supporting documentation reach us by the first week of August 2016, although we may still accept applications after this date.

All other applicants should ideally apply before the first week of September 2016, although we may still accept applications after this date.

All applicants applying for the January intake should ideally apply by the first week of December 2016.

Information required to support your application

• Copies of transcripts and certificates which confirm qualifications obtained and pending. These should clearly show the qualification awarded and the final overall grade/mark. If they are not in English, we will also require copies translated into English by an authorized translator.
• A personal statement which should outline your reasons for applying for the course.
• A copy of your curriculum vitae (CV)/resumé.
• If English is not your first language we will require proof of your proficiency, which will generally be an IELTS test certificate. If you do not hold a formal English language qualification, please indicate how you have acquired your proficiency in written and spoken English.
