This one-year (3 term) programme offers successful students guaranteed progression* to the University of Hull. Extended 4 term programme available in September.
This programme gives guaranteed progression* to Year 1 of a wide range of undergraduate degrees or the International Year One in Business & Management or Engineering.
This programme is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at the University of Hull. All students who successfully complete the UFP are guaranteed placement on a suitable programme of undergraduate study at the University of Hull. The UFP is set at level 3, which is equivalent to A-level standard in the UK.
This programme lasts one academic year (nine months). The year is divided into three terms of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week. On average, you will undertake 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week.
English Language forms up to six hours of your timetable, is compulsory for students who are below the required level for progression, and will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects as well as being taught separately if you need additional support. Students who are at or above the required English level for progression are likely to follow a reduced timetable.
Students will be expected to timetable self-study hours in addition to the classroom-based hours.

There are two academic pathways to choose from and you will study the pathway most suited to your chosen progression degree. Academic skills relevant to the specific subject area will be taught to fully prepare you for university study. The pathways are: Business, Economics, Finance and Management and Computing, Engineering and Sciences.
