Topics include: knowledge of essential educational theory; awareness of appropriate teaching and assessment methods, including flashcards and overhead transparencies, language videos and audio tapes, roles plays, games, computer-based resources and the internet; strategies to encourage trainees' holistic language development in the four skill areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as knowledge about the country and culture; understanding of the curriculum and current teaching practice; ability to plan lessons effectively; working knowledge of the latest information communication technology tools and software used in schools; students study 12 weeks on campus.
