Entry requirements

  • 1. QUALIFICATIONS

    You will need a Level 3 qualification or 12 years of education with good grades and a portfolio. Level 3 qualifications can be any of the below, or equivalent:

  • A minimum of two GCE A Level passes at Grade C or above. One of these should be in a relevant creative subject.
  • Two BTEC Subsidiary Diplomas/BTEC Extended Certificate at Merit, or a combination of BTEC Subsidiary Diploma/BTEC Extended Certificate and A Level qualifications.
  • An IB (International Baccalaureate) score of 24 or above. We’ll accept the equivalent in relevant individual IB certificates.
  • A BTEC/UAL Extended Diploma Merit.
  • A BTEC/OCR (Tech) Extended Diploma at Merit, Pass.
  • Russia – Successful completion of the Attestat with grade 3 overall.

  • 2. ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

    IFD: IELTS minimum overall score of 5.5 with a minimum of 5.0 in each component (reading, writing, speaking, listening)

    IFD + English: IELTS minimum overall score of 5.0 with a minimum of 5.0 in each component (reading, writing, speaking, listening).  If your score is lower than this, please contact university directly using the form on the right for individual assessment.

AUB is located on the south coast of England, two miles from the centre of Bournemouth. It has good train links to London and other big cities.

Bournemouth is the furthest easterly point of the Jurassic Coast, England’s first Natural World Heritage site, which spans 95 miles of unspoilt countryside of exceptional natural beauty and historic geology. Subsidised bus routes operate to and from the campus. Good cycle paths are in place.
