The Undergraduate Foundation Programme offers a pathway to the second year of a four-year undergraduate degree at Strathclyde. The programme is designed to prepare you fully for successful degree study.

You can choose from two pathways:

■ Business and Social Studies

■ Engineering and Sciences

Both foundation routes are modular in structure. You will study core modules and subject-specific modules designed to focus on the academic areas most useful for your degree.

Once you have completed the Undergraduate Foundation Programme, and subject to satisfying the progression criteria, you can proceed to the second year of your four year degree at the University. The required progression grade will depend on your chosen degree course.

English Language Preparation Additional English language training is available at the ISC if you need to improve your English to the required level for your Undergraduate Foundation Programme.

There are 1 term or 2 term options available, dependent on your IELTS level. This intensive course will improve your English language skills up to the level of IELTS 5.0.

Studying at the International Study Centre you will have access to University of Strathclyde facilities, university-style teaching and personal support to ensure you will succeed during your degree at Strathclyde.
