The International Foundation Diploma (IFD) is a preparatory course in Art, Design and Media. On this course, you’ll have the option to study an integrated programme of English language tuition, alongside the creative aspects of the course.

This course is ideal for overseas students who can’t start a one-year Foundation Diploma in September, or who need additional English language development. Students can develop their creative skills and produce a professional portfolio of work ready to progress on to one of our degree courses within just 24 weeks.

This course is taught over 24 weeks and starts on Monday 21st January 2019. You’ll study full-time for three to five days a week and have access to the library and AUB campus for independent study on the other days of the week. The course is split into three stages – an exploratory stage, pathway stage and final project.

AUB is located on the south coast of England, two miles from the centre of Bournemouth. It has good train links to London and other big cities.

Bournemouth is the furthest easterly point of the Jurassic Coast, England’s first Natural World Heritage site, which spans 95 miles of unspoilt countryside of exceptional natural beauty and historic geology. Subsidised bus routes operate to and from the campus. Good cycle paths are in place.
