Undergraduate

To apply for undergraduate courses the following is required:

• A-levels or IB: subjects and grades requirements vary depending on the course or School leaving certificate equivalent to UK A-Levels or
• School leaving certificate and successful completion of International Foundation programme.
• IELTS from 6.5 if English is not the first language of an applicant.
• Creative portfolio might be required for arts, design and architecture related courses.
• BMAT or UKCAT tests will be required for medical and some biomedical courses.
• Application should be submitted online via UCAS.

Postgraduate

To apply for postrgraduate courses the following is required:

• A Bachelor degree from the university in the UK or approved institution of higher education outside the UK or Professional qualifications can be accepted for some courses.
• IELTS from 6.5 if English is not the first language of an applicant.
• If grades at Bachelor degree are not sufficient, Pre-Masters programme can be taken by International students prior to their Master studies.
• Relevant working experience might be required for some courses.
• GMAT can be required for some business releated courses.
• Creative portfolio might be required for arts, design and architecture related courses.
• Application should be submitted online on the website of the University or via UCAS Postgraduate.

Undergraduate courses

To apply for an undergraduate course, you should apply directly to the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).

Postgraduate courses

To apply for a postgraduate course, you should complete the standard postgraduate application form and send this direct to the University. All completed application forms should be sent to the Direct Admissions Team at the University. There is no fixed deadline for applying for postgraduate courses, but you should send your application form to us as soon as possible as courses do fill up.

Research degrees

Once you have decided in which area you would like to perform research, we encourage you to have an informal discussion with staff in the relevant research centre. You should then apply using the standard postgraduate application form and send this to the faculty office for the research theme that you are applying for. You are asked to provide full details of your academic and work background and most applications require the names of two academic referees. When considering an application the University must ensure the research proposal is appropriate, the applicant is suitably qualified and adequate supervision and facilities are available. After enrolment, you must submit a formal research proposal within three months to the University's Research Degrees Sub-Committee for approval.
