Entry requirements

Entry requirements for Russian Students applying to International Foundation programmes:

Applicants are required to have the Certificate of Secondary Education (Attestat) with a minimum average score of 4. Students are usually required to obtain grades of 4 or above in relevant subjects.

 

Entry requirements for Russian Students applying to Undergraduate (Bachelor Degree) programmes:

Certificate of Secondary Education (Attestat) is not accepted for direct entry to QMUL’s undergraduate degree programmes.

Applicants are required to have completed either:

  • A-Levels or the IB, and met the specific courses standard requirements.
  • Or, an International Foundation programme at QMUL, or at one of certain other approved institutions.
Note: International Foundation Programmes are not accepted for either MBBS Medicine or BDS Dentistry.


Entry requirements for Russian Students applying to Postgraduate-Taught (Master Degree) programmes:

The exact requirements will depend on the course you are applying for.

Applicants are required to have completed either:

  • A Russian Bachelor Degree from an approved university with an average grade of at least 4/5 overall.
  • Or, a Specialist Diploma from an approved university with an average grade of at least 4/5 overall.

Some courses may accept slightly lower grades depending on the content of the qualification. Please get in touch for clarification.

 

English language requirements:

English proficiency requirements depend on the course you are applying for.

  • International Foundation programmes tend to require between IELTS 5.0 and IELTS 6.0 overall depending on the course.
  • Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes tend to require IELTS 6.0 and IELTS 7.0 overall depending on the course.
  • Pre-sessional English courses are available for most courses.

All undergraduate applications should be made through UCAS.

Postgraduate applications should be made online. Paper applications are no longer accepted.
