Overlooking Regent’s Canal, our student village in Mile End has contemporary accommodation, attractive green spaces, shops, launderette facilities, cafés, a bar, gym and sports amenities, banking services and 24 hour security. As well as everything on campus, it is next to Regent’s canal, and beyond that are Victoria Park and Mile End park, green spaces in which you can refresh and recharge. The Mile End Leisure Centre and Stadium complex includes an eight-lane swimming pool, two state-of-the-art fitness centres, an indoor sports hall, several floodlit grass football pitches, an athletics track, and other pitches. Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is one stop away on the London Underground network, and is home to English Premier League football fixtures, and provides world class sporting facilities which are available to the public.
QMUL is situated in a vibrant area of East London, close to both Shoreditch, a fashionable and creative media and web-technology centre; and the financial districts of the City and Canary Wharf. Less than a mile away is our Whitechapel campus, home to Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. At the centre of this campus is the stunning Blizard Building, which houses the largest open-plan laboratories in Europe. More centrally, our Charterhouse Square and West Smithfield campuses contain more of our medical research facilities; and our Lincoln’s Inn Fields site is home to our Centre for Commercial Law Studies, where we offer the largest range of LLM specialisations in the UK.
Queen Mary University of London prides itself on offering a high level of student welfare support which includes our Advice and Counselling Service that provides advice on welfare issues and practical matters such as immigration. Each student is assigned a personal adviser within their academic department, who is available to provide additional academic support.
