How to apply

There are several ways to apply:

  • on general base (same rules as for Russian students — passing Russian State Exam (ЕГЭ), following the general rules),
  • receiving a compatriot status (verification of the compatriot status is necessary, same rules as on the general base would be applied),
  • contract-based studies.


General Information for applicants

  • The academic year at MSU starts in September and ends in June (01.09-30.06).
  • All faculties provide full-time studies for BS, MS and Specialist programs. Post-graduate studies can be full-time or part-time.
  • All courses in Moscow State University are given in Russian language.
  • You can take a preparatory course of Russian language at MSU Institute of Russian Language and Culture.

Location

The building of the Faculty of Economics is situated on Sparrow Hills, in the southwest of Moscow. It is a forested area about five miles southwest from the city centre, which takes about 10 minutes to reach the metro from the university by foot, and it's a 15-minute metro ride to the city centre.
