How to apply

Undergraduate

If your school or college is registered with UCAS you will be able to apply the same way as UK students; otherwise individuals from the EU (excluding the UK) and worldwide will need to apply online independently. Advice is normally available from your school or college. You are responsible for paying the correct application fee, for obtaining and attaching the academic reference and for submitting the completed application online to UCAS. We encourage you to apply as early as possible and before mid-January but will continue to consider applications from international students until 30 June if places are available.

Postgraduate

Please consult the relevant departmental and course information to view the course specification, research areas and entry requirements. If you are applying for a PhD degree, you are advised to contact a potential supervisor before making a formal application. You may wish to provide the supervisor with a copy of your Curriculum Vitae and indicate what your proposed topic of study is, the potential start date and how you propose to fund the project. Most postgraduate courses do not have a published formal closing date, but you should be aware that popular courses close as they become full. Please therefore ensure that you make your application for these courses as early as possible, particularly if you are intending to apply for funding, and preferably by 30 July (overseas/EU applicants) or 1 September (UK applicants) to avoid disappointment.

A travelcard for Zones 1-6 will be required to travel from Zone 6. Travel costs are cheaper if you are travelling from Zones 1,2,3,4 and 5; further details can be found on the Transport for London website.
