Secondary school diploma (Abitur, Fachhochschulreife or International Baccalaureate diploma (IB): at least 24 points, European Baccalaureate (EB), High School: GPA average at least 3.0; two A-levels (grades do not matter).
Final secondary school examination in 1 additional language is required, and the grade for this is stated on the diploma or certificate (at least A2 level).
Business related courses/related work experience - recommended, not required.
Candidates must demonstrate adequate proficiency in English. Candidates who have completed at least two years’ full-time education in the preceding three calendar years with English as the language of instruction are deemed to have fulfilled this requirement.
The selection is in 2 rounds:
1. A writing assignment. If you pass this, you are invited for round 2.
2. Character profile test and an interview (30 min).
Zuyd is based in Heerlen, Sittard, and Maastricht. The university has eleven locations in these cities. Its strategic location in Europe (on the border with Belgium and Germany) offers unique opportunities for students and businesses. Big cities like Aachen, Cologne, Brussels and Antwerp can all be reached within an hour. This facilitates getting an international internship at one of the numerous international businesses or doing an exchange program at one of its partner universities in the region.
