MSc: Excellent first degree or other qualifications equivalent to 1st- or 2nd-class Honours degree from a UK university in engineering, physical science, medicine, or a profession allied to medicine; candidates with other qualifications, or who may benefit from a longer period of study, may take the MSc over 21 months; PgDip: normally a first degree, but other applicants will be considered.
