Course is fully web-based, hosted on a virtual learning environment using interactive animations, quizzes and exercises to reinforce learning points contained in the notes; students also receive hard copies of all notes and exercises, tutor support and in-house laboratory-based practical training; practical training components may be undertaken in laboratories out with the University if suitable facilities are available; the MSc requires a three-month project (may be taken over a longer period if part-time), which can be undertaken at Strathclyde, within the company if participant is a practising analyst or at another approved educational institution; students must submit a dissertation and take an oral examination on the project.
