This course has been specifically tailored to meet the needs of mature students, those seeking a change of direction or those with science or technology experience, whose interest in either area may not have been fully reflected in examination performance; it incorporates a Foundation Year studied at the College which helps to build students' confidence, enhance their study skills, and equips them with the necessary science and technology know-how; students gain additional skills in communication, information technology, numeracy and problem-solving, and develop their knowledge of scientific methods and study techniques; students get a feel for a range of subjects including biology, chemistry, computing, core mathematics and study skills, environmental sciences and technology; after successfully completing the Foundation Year, students can then transfer to a science or technology degree programme at the University of Wolverhampton.
