This BA (Hons) Architecture course gives you the opportunity to learn about the architectural design process and develop your professional skills. You will investigate the representation of ideas and the relationships between people, buildings and their communities and cities. Oxford is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, rich with the work of world renowned historic and contemporary architects, and the School of Architecture is one of the most creative and vibrant schools of architecture in the UK.
Confers exemption from Part 1 of the Examination in Architecture of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Architects Registration Board (ARB)
Most students, having achieved the honours degree in Architecture, go on to a placement year in practice before returning for a further two years of postgraduate study. Others use their highly sought after design skills to work in related disciplines such as digital design, urban design, product design, journalism, set design, planning, academia, disaster and emergency practice.
The campuses are filled with bars, cafes, and food outlets so there are plenty of places for you to meet up with friends, have fun and socialise.
We even organise regular cultural events, like theatre visits and traditional dance evenings, to help you experience life in the UK. Our events are a great way of meeting other students from across the University.
Getting you from A to B quickly and cheaply, the Brookes Bus service links all three campuses with the halls of residence, Oxford city centre and local supermarkets. Free Brookes bus passes are available to students.
