Collaborative Creative Practice 1
You can 'author' up to three film exercises (or filmic sketches) with the help of your fellow students and Screen Performers. The idea is to get the collaborative filmmaking juices flowing and to explore inspirations and ideas. You will also attend talks with industry professionals and specialist tutors.
Collaborative Creative Practice 2
In your creative specialism you will work collaboratively with other students to make a short film. In the first few weeks of the second semester writers, directors and producers develop the scripts, with other heads of department being attached soon after. You will be encouraged to relate the short film to your Masters Project in some way.
Masters Project Development
Development of your Masters Project begins. The idea for the film is born, written and planned, and research in each creative skill begins. You will attend workshops by visiting filmmakers and specialist tutors in your area of creative expertise.
Masters Project
You will make your masters film in your head of department role, with a pre-determined budget. Screen Writers will write two to three drafts of a feature (or TV) script and Screen Performers agree their Masters Project in consultation with Course Leaders - the possibilities are exciting, and limitless.
Walk Away Project
Development and preparation of a film or television project and/or show reel to take with you when you leave the course. This module provides a launching pad for your future life as a filmmaker.
Critical Practice
You will be provided with the tools to develop and apply your understanding of cultural theory and knowledge to your own practice as filmmakers.
