Entry requirements

Candidates must: Hold a recognised professional qualification in social work, nursing, occupational therapy or psychology and be a registered social worker, nurse, occupational therapist or chartered psychologist; demonstrate that they already have the level of professional competence, capacity and ability to undertake and complete an AMHP training programme at higher specialist level (as an indicator, 2 years of recent, relevant practice experience in mental health); and be nominated by their employer.
