During the International Business course you constantly put theory into practice in real-life business situations. That's why work placements and study abroad are essential elements of your education. This practical approach equips you for the real world of international business.

Choose from 4 specialisations

During your 1st year you get a solid foundation in all areas of international business. From the 2nd year you specialise in one of the following

  • Finance
  • Management
  • Marketing & Sales
  • Supply Chain Management

These specialisations reflect the needs of the market. So when you graduate, your skills will be in high demand.

Practical international experience

The International Business course is all about gaining experience in the real world. That’s why you spend a semester studying abroad in your 3rd year. You can do this at one of many international partner universities of the University.
In your 3rd year, you also do a semester-long work placement. This is done at an internationally oriented company in the Netherlands or abroad. The work placement gives you valuable experience in the corporate world. And it vastly improves your language and communication skills.
Finally, in your 4th year, you complete a graduation assignment. This involves doing research for an internationally oriented company.

Location

HAN University of Applied Sciences has two campuses, located in Arnhem and Nijmegen.

Nijmegen is situated on the banks of the river Waal, in the east of The Netherlands, near to the German border, and is the oldest city in Holland - recently celebrating its 2,000th anniversary.

Arnhem, the capital of the province of Gelderland, is only 15km from Nijmegen and lies partially in the hills at the edge of National Park De Veluwe, a striking area of woods and heath. Arnhem is a ‘green’ city, where people take pleasure in living, working and recreation.
