Finance is the management of money, banking, investments and credit. Finance majors gain an understanding of how to acquire, manage and invest corporate funds. They also study financial institutions, financial markets, security analysis and investments.

UT's finance program offers specific study options in corporate finance, investment management, financial institutions and financial services. There is a strong, active chapter of the Student Financial Management Association at UT.

Upon graduation, your career can take many paths, but most finance majors find jobs in the finance departments of firms; with banks, mutual funds, and other kinds of financial institutions; or in government or some kind of charitable organization.
