Level one
You will be writing features, news stories, reviews and editorials as well as developing skills in digital media production. You will learn the underpinning principles of public relations and marketing while analysing media coverage and campaign strategies.
Level two
You will be working on video journalism at level two and will also study journalism ethics, public communication and web media. You will also learn how to evaluate and monitor good press relations and analyse real-world examples of crisis and reputation management alongside exploring creative advertising campaigns and processes.
Level three
At level three you will have a chance to produce a major public relations or journalism practical project across the full range of media. There will also be opportunities to gain valuable work experience through the Work Placement Module. In addition, there will be a full range of specialist taught modules from which to choose including sports journalism, science journalism, creative advertising design and Copywriting.
The city of Bristol is centrally located in the South West of England with good road and rail links to other parts of the UK and an International Airport on the outskirts of Bristol with regular routes to most major European destinations. Bristol is located just 90 minutes from London and just 15 minutes from the neighbouring city of Bath – a world heritage site.
