University provides plenty of opportunities to meet other students socially. To facilitate this, schools and colleges, as well as the Students’ Association, hold events regularly. Also, Edinburgh is a Scotland’s top University for sports. University of Edinburgh is rated top out of the Russell Group universities for clubs and societies.

The University has more than 4,100 residential places for new undergraduate students, in a wide range accommodation. The Halls are based across a number of sites, all located within a short walk or bus ride from Edinburgh’s centre and the main University areas.

Edinburgh is ranked 15th most employable university in the world by the 2013 Global Employability University Ranking. The University provides excellent career services, including consultations with an adviser, information centres, specific workshops on how to built a successful CV and interviews practice.
