University life is more than just learning within the curiculum. There are plenty of clubs and societies, and many ways to improve yourself. NTU provides rich opportunities for groups and communities to form and grow. This not only helps propagate our culture but also provides a platform to share knowledge and experiences. Currently, there are more than 100 student organizations in NTU. They fall into these categories:
NTU also supports the forming and organisation of student activities.
There is a range of library materials that cater to various learning needs and preferences. NTU Libraries print collection stands at more than 800,000 books now and is growing at about 40,000 volumes per year. Students and academic staff can borrow up to 20 and 40 books respectively at any one time. NTU Libraries have a good selection of audio visual materials, numbering about 39,000 items.
NTU has 2 campuses in Singapore. The main campus is a 200-ha residential, garden campus located in the south-western part of Singapore, near the Jurong West Extension area. This campus is easily accessible by two expressways, the Pan-island Expressway (PIE) and Kranji Expressway (KJE). It is also near the Boon Lay bus interchange and the Boon Lay Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station. NTU also has a campus in Novena, Singapore’s medical district.
By Car:
The university is served by two entrances: Jalan Bahar entrance and Pioneer Road North entrance.
By Bus:
Two public buses ply from the Boon Lay bus interchange to the campus, they are SBS bus service no. 179, 179A and 199. Each goes round the campus in a separate loop, starting and ending at the Boon Lay bus interchange.
By MRT:
Take the MRT East-West (Green) line and alight at Boon Lay MRT Station. Thereafter, take Singapore Bus Service (SBS) bus service no. 179 or 199 at the Boon Lay bus interchange located just next to the MRT station.
