EU organizes regular activities that give students an insight into real-world business practice outside the classroom. Seminars, presentations and trips complement the academic theory that students examine in class, offering hands-on experiences that bring business to life.
Students are taken to visit selected national and international companies like BMW, Nestlé and UEFA among others, where they observe how theoretical concepts can be applied to real business situations. Coursework relevant to the visit is assigned and requires students to present oral and written reports.
EU invites important worldwide leaders, such as the former Secretary-General of the UN Kofi Annan, the CEO of the Montreux Jazz Festival Mathieu Jaton, the former President of the Swiss Confederation Adolf Ogi, and the Chairman of Nestlé Paul Bulcke, to give conferences at EU. These sessions stimulate students’ curiosity, deliver detailed information on modern business practices and offer practical, informed opinions on current events.
During one- or two-week trips, students visit selected corporations, commercial hubs, government and trade organizations around the world, where they observe a variety of industries and meet with senior management. They discover new cultures and professional practices. These trips are followed up with project reports based on the experience.
EU regularly brings innovative and thought-provoking conferences to its students. On October 26 and 27, in collaboration with the International Association of Public Transport (UITP), EU Business School (EU) held a conference on electric mobility in Munich. Leading industry experts, authorities and academics came together at this highly successful conference. 100 participants actively debated the future and challenges of the electric mobility industry in roundtable sessions, keynote speaker presentations and speed chats throughout an illuminating, two-day event.
The Career Services Department (CSD) at EU Business School offers advice to students on a one-to-one basis and in-group sessions to help enhance their career prospects and successful job search. In addition, students can access exclusive offers on the EU career center platform and attend the annual EU Talent Day to connect with recruiters from large global companies. EU actively promotes internships with its corporate collaborators.
EU’s 27,000+ alumni work in multinational corporations, growing SMEs and innovative startups around the world. The EU Alumni Association holds regular networking events, webinars, presentations, talks and seminars. These initiatives are specially designed to support active and engaged members of the international business company and to further promote connections between alumni. The association brings them together by facilitating communications, promoting information exchanges and encouraging international business relations.
