The Cranfield campus is based just outside the village of Cranfield, between the vibrant towns of Milton Keynes and Bedford.
Shrivenham campus is set in and around the beautifully landscaped gardens of Beckett House, a manor house on the edge of Shrivenham village. The secure campus is home to the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom which is a military and academic community providing postgraduate education in strategy, leadership, management and the application of technology to defence. This rural location is home to over 1500 students, with nearly three times that number using us as the hub for their flexible distance learning. The atmosphere is mature, relaxed and informal. At our Shrivenham campus, students will find a convivial mix of cultures (military and civilian), backgrounds and nations with an established and supportive infrastructure for everyday living and a wide range of social and sporting opportunities.
Our students will tell you that their social life is a key part of their Cranfield experience. The Cranfield Students’ Association runs a range of clubs and societies and host weekly social events throughout the year for students, their partners and families. Our students also organise many of their own activities with support from faculty and staff. In addition every year our students organise The Cranfield Regatta which is a two-day sailing festival of Sunsail F40 yachts competing in fixed points' races over the course of a weekend.
Sports facilities on campus include an indoor heated swimming pool at our conference centre, fitness centre with a gym and aerobics studio, indoor sports hall, large playing fields and courts for playing tennis, squash and badminton.
Our career development team comprises eleven experienced professionals. The team includes practised career coaches who will work in partnership with you to achieve the personal and professional changes you wish to make, and business development consultants who will help you develop strategies to penetrate markets and make contacts with key employers.
Our MBA students receive extensive support with their career development throughout the year, including: Individual career consultations, CV and cover letter workshops, Interview skills workshop, Career planning day, Personal career coaching, Networking workshop, Assessment centres, Careers fair, Speaker events, Sector events and Alumni networking.
Due to the intensity of the programme our students are unable to work during the MBA programme. However via internships and company-based projects our students apply their learning in a real business environment, get experience in a sector of interest, gain international exposure and can support their career progression. Our students can source an internship or project themselves, or use the school's alumni network or dedicated Career Development Service to help them find the right organisation.
