How to apply

International Foundation Programme

You can apply online.

Undergraduate / Bachelors

Use an organisation called UCAS and apply online. UCAS allows you to apply to up to five (four for medicine/dentistry) courses at any combination of UK universities using the same application form. The institution code for Cardiff is C15. The official deadline for undergraduate courses is the 30th June each year. If you want to apply after this date you should contact the International Office. If you are applying for a medicine or dentistry course the application deadline will be October 15th prior to entry in September the following year.

Postgraduate Taught / Masters

Apply directly to the University for a postgraduate taught course on the website of the Cardiff University.

Postgraduate Research / PhD / MPhil

The application procedure for postgraduate research is the same as postgraduate taught (above), however you will also need to include a research proposal. You should also make contact with a member of academic staff who could act as a potential supervisor to your studies. Most postgraduate courses do not have a deadline. The University however encourages you to apply as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You will need to ensure you have enough time to complete the application process and, where applicable, get a visa. Some courses can also become full quite quickly. It is recommended you apply 9–12 months in advance of the course starting.
