Being a relatively small university it’s very easy to become involved in clubs and societies, all of which are run by students for students. With around 80 to choose from you’re bound to find a club or society to suit you, and if you can't, you can set one up!

Aston University campus in the centre of Birmingham gives Aston students the best of both worlds, a green, well-equipped, friendly campus in the heart of a vibrant city.

All social, support and academic facilities at Aston University are based on campus, so you never have far to go:

• all accommodation and most common rooms, cafes and lecture theatres are equipped with wireless internet access;
• there are 1,100 computer workstations on campus, some of which are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week;
• the library is now open 24 hours a day at key times of the year and contains over 300,000 volumes and a new learning development centre

Aston University is less than five minutes walk from Birmingham city centre and its many shops, restaurants, galleries, theatres, cinemas, pubs and clubs.

There are lots of opportunities for student part-time work. Birmingham city centre and the massive Bull Ring shopping centre are ten minutes walk. The financial and legal quarter of Birmingham is 5–10 minutes walk.
