XJTLU, BEng, Data Science and Big Data Technology

Following XJTLU’s exciting and innovative Syntegrative Educational Model, this programme is an equal collaboration between the University and its industry partner, Sugon, at the School of AI and Advanced Computing in XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang). With rapid developments in smart manufacturing, e-commerce, finance, and urban information, the fields of data, computer science, business, and finance are becoming increasingly interdependent. Combining theories and methods from mathematics, data science, statistics, and computer science, this programme will equip you with the skills to analyse and harness large-scale data across a number of industries. During your studies, you will explore scientific integration and reinterpretation of statistical analysis, system computing, and interdisciplinary science, providing you with a comprehensive knowledge system for the whole process of big data storage and analysis, as well as for the entire industry chain of data application. Graduates from this unique programme will meet the needs of a wide range of employers as the educational model’s unique focus on entrepreneurship and innovation provides you with the skills and abilities to think like an entrepreneur, providing the foundation for you to go on to become one of the leaders for tomorrow’s new industries.
