This vocational course enables students to develop the knowledge and skills in the practices required to play a full and rewarding part in the management and conservation of our natural heritage; this course provides students with an understanding of the countryside and the pressure that our flora and fauna are facing; they are introduced to concepts of biodiversity which provides the skills to manage the environment in a sustainable way; the business management minor has been developed in response to a national shortage of business/management skills across all sectors, as highlighted by the government and also, crucially, by employers; it is made up of 3 components: Essential business; management concepts and practice; and applied business; a week-long study tour takes place during the 1st year.
