Registered social worker; be employed at the time of enrolment in a statutory, private or charitable sector
of health and social care services and must also be qualified in social work (CSS, CQSW, DipSW, qualifying degree,
international social work qualification recognised by the GSCC) normally with a minimum 5 years’ post-qualifying experience, preferably with a good 1st degree, and able to work to the standard required at Master's level; applicants should also be committed to collaboration to implement policies; effect change and improve services; possess fluent written and spoken English to study at postgraduate level; if the student's 1st language is not English; an attainment of at least IELTS 6.5 or equivalent must be demonstrated (or the university offers pre-sessional summer programmes if applicants need to improve their English before starting the course); those offered a place are invited to attend a 3 way meeting with the course leaders and a representative from their employers to establish their career development needs and any employer requirements; as well as discuss how the course can meet the GSCC Post Registration Training and Learning Scheme requirements and set up review and feedback mechanisms (helping students take responsibility for planning, sustaining and progressing their own learning).
Our courses are taught across four London campuses – three in central London and all within walking distance of each other, and a fourth in Harrow, north-west London, which is just a 30-minute tube ride away from central London.
Cavendish Campus
Our Cavendish Campus is in central London – just a 5-minute walk from Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road.
Subjects taught at the campus include Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Computer Science and Engineering, and Psychology.
Harrow Campus
Our Harrow Campus is based in north-west London, just 30 minutes away from central London by tube.
Subjects taught at the campus include Art and Design, Fashion, and Film and Television.
Marylebone Campus
Our Marylebone Campus is in central London, within easy walking distance of both Regent's Park and Marylebone High Street.
Subjects taught at the campus include Accounting and Finance, Business and Management, and Construction Management and Urban Planning.
Regent Campus
Our Regent Campus comprises three sites in central London, all within a few minutes' walk of Oxford Street:
309 Regent Street – subjects taught at this site include English and Creative Writing, Languages, and History.
Little Titchfield Street – our Law courses are taught here.
Wells Street – Criminology and Sociology, and Politics and International Relations are taught here.
