The aim of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the employment and human resource issues affected by social inequalities and encourages a critical appreciation of the dynamics of diversity among employees; (thus developing the skills and competencies to manage a diverse work force and then build on that diversity to enhance organisational effectiveness); thereby equipping students to recognise and understand the barriers facing managers within a diverse workforce and to make appropriate suggestions and develop suitable programmes to help top management; team members and colleagues to overcome such barriers and capitalize on the strengths of a diverse workforce (so that their organisation achieves its full potential in a global economy).
