Applications are considered from: film graduates with 1 year experience in the Industry (or placement study from UK; EU or overseas); recent film graduates without experience will be considered on merit (their portfolio); film- related graduates (who can demonstrate innovation in their approach to storytelling and screen narrative through their portfolio); candidates from other backgrounds; (for example an applicant with a fine art background who's been working with the moving image and whose portfolio shows insight and command of screen narrative) who are considered on a case-by-case basis; candidates whose professional experience may be credited as equivalent to the above qualifications through the University's systems (See AP(E)L); for those whose 1st language is not English an attainment of at least IELTS 6.5 or equivalent must be demonstrated; the University offers pre-sessional summer programmes for those who need to improve their English before starting the course.
