Students take compulsory classes and choose 1 from each pair of elective modules; students undertake a 3-year research project; the course includes a Strathclyde postgraduate enterprise course which enables them to explore issues in technology transfer, spin-out companies and fundraising; at the end of year 1 students undertake a short individual research project working in the laboratory and research group of their choice; participation in industry days and events in medical devices in the UK is also a feature of the course.
