This programme is run jointly by the Departments of History at the University of Ulster, Oslo and Strathclyde; it aims to provide students with an introduction to advanced level study of the history of the North Atlantic region (Scotland, Ireland and Scandanavia) in the early modern period, and equip them with the key generic research skills and resources required for successful completion of this programme and pursuing further research; students take an assessed curriculum of prescribed and optional classes, with the opportunity to take classes offered from Ulster and Oslo universities; Master's students also write a dissertation.
