The programme is delivered alongside the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in graphic design therefore students will benefit from high levels of teaching and resources; students will explore ideas of contemporary design, studying modules in advertising, illustration, type/editorial design, and computing; in the second year students will work with the industry contacts they have gained to build a portfolio; students should now have an idea of what will be expected from them in industry and they will also have an idea of what kind of work they prefer, be it web design, computer games design, packaging, design etc; in addition to learning through experience in industry there is also a strong emphasis on practical studio work; students will also learn in groups and through one-to-one tutorials, seminars and lectures.
