The foundation programme is designed for both United Kingdom and international students whose school leaving qualifications do not immediately allow them admission to undergraduate engineering and computer science degree programmes in Britain; it offers an approved entry route, preparing students academically so that they can proceed to the degree of their choice; students who successfully complete the foundation programme are guaranteed progression to many BEng/MEng/BSc degrees in the following schools: built environment; chemical, environmental and mining engineering; civil engineering; electrical and electronic engineering; mechanical, materials, manufacturing engineering and management and computer science and information technology; progression is subject to having taken the correct pre-requisite modules during the foundation programme.
