The course equips students with the analytical approaches, methodologies and tools to structure and analyse problem situations to improve the decision-making processes and outcomes in industry, business and the public sector; the core of the course is formed by 4 analytic units covering fundamental tool kit areas of decision sciences, applied operational research and statistics; the approach is to consider application of these analytical methodologies and tool kits to common problem areas across business and management, using case studies, individual and team-consulting based assignments and software tools; the other 4 units are chosen from a broad range of options, according to the students' interests, background and intended career directions.
