Entry requirements

At least GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in mathematics, English and science; only those candidates who have some experience of working in primary schools, either voluntarily or as teaching assistants, are considered for interview; a 2:1 or above degree with elements within the studies which are relevant to the primary curriculum; evidence of wide subject knowledge, a good reference and a strong commitment to primary education; candidates wishing to take the French or German specialisms should have at least A-level or its equivalent in their chosen language, or should be native speakers or should have spent time working in a French or German-speaking country.
