This is a broadly based programme in theology and religious studies; is not primarily aimed at those who wish to be clergy, though potential clergy (of whatever denomination) gain important background to support their clerical training; like any other arts or humanities subject, theology and religious studies can prepare students for a wide range of possible careers; students take 6 modules for the taught part of the programme (67 per cent) and then produce a 20,000-word dissertation (33 per cent).
