Level 1: 6 compulsory modules, which develop broad understanding of accounting and related business applications: financial accounting 1; cost and management accounting; academic skills for accounting; business law; managing organisations within the legal environment; business economics, mathematics and statistics. Level 2: 3 compulsory modules plus 3 more options; these enable students to develop more advanced accounting knowledge and skills, and also to gain specialist knowledge in areas of particular interest; compulsory modules are: Financial accounting 2; management accounting; financial management and control; options include: business and corporate law; quantitative analysis; financial modelling; business information systems; taxation. Level 3: 3 compulsory modules: issues and controversies in accounting; management accounting at the organisational level; dissertation; plus options including: corporate financial reporting; international accounting and finance; auditing.
