Students may choose to specialise in Danish, Norwegian or Swedish, taking language courses throughout their degree supplemented with linguistics, literature and film, plus an extensive choice of history courses through medieval studies to contemporary issues, enabling them to study Old Norse sagas and runology; 3rd year is spent in the country where the main language is spoken.
