Current topics registered for PhD, which combine theory and practice, include: In-betweenness, disruption and alterity: critical and comparative interrogation of artwork and theoretical text; phenomenology of sculptural space in real and digital worlds; the body in practice: repetition, performativity and becoming in the articulation of the body and the production of meaning in women's art; it is possible to register for the course without explicit theoretical component, but there is strong emphasis on theoretical aspects of fine art; candidate's own studio work should form principal focus or significant part of the intellectual enquiry; studio work may be in any field, with presentation and submission in an appropriate form.
