Entry requirements

Applicants will normally be expected to hold a 1st or Upper 2nd class degree in dance, performing arts or other relevant humanities subject; where an applicant’s first degree is in a subject other than dance, s/he will be expected to demonstrate some dance knowledge and/or experience; (applications from mature candidates are very welcome and, where appropriate, relevant professional experience may be accepted as a qualifying factor in lieu of academic achievement); all candidates who meet entry requirements are invited for interview with the programme convenor and at least one other member of the academic dance staff; applicants whose first language is not English should have British Council IELTS at band 6.5 overall with no less than 6 in each band of the test or TOEFL with a score of at least 600/250 computer based test with no less than 4 in the written test.
