Pennsylvania State University, BS, Accounting
Entry requirements
Penn State requires official secondary school records for all international students, as well as official post-secondary records for attempted college/university coursework (if applicable). In reviewing an application, we look for students who have successfully completed courses or examinations in the core subjects of mathematics, physical science, social science, and language in all years of high school. Students who have not successfully completed these courses may not be eligible for admission to Penn State. Penn State requires first-year international students to submit an official score from the SAT or ACT examination. Please note: The writing component of standardized tests (SAT or ACT) is not required. The writing component will not be used as part of our evaluation. If your test scores include the writing component, by all means, have those scores sent to Penn State. Additionally, we do not require SAT Subject Tests. The following are ways in which you can satisfy the language proficiency requirement:
TOEFL: A minimum TOEFL score of 80 on the Internet-based TOEFL or 550 on the paper exam
IELTS: A minimum IELTS score of 6.5 on the academic test
SAT:
Tests Prior to March 2016: a score of 530 or higher on the Critical Reading section.
Tests March 2016 and later: a score of 570 or higher on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section
ACT: Score of 24 or higher on the English section.
