UK NHS Specialist Registrar programme: applicants must have: (i) full registration with UK General Dental Council (GDC); (ii) 2 years’ general professional training or equivalent; (iii) MFDS or equivalent (as approved by the JCSTD Equivalence Committee); (iv) the required immunisation against blood-borne viral disease and must not have any disease which would constitute a hazard to patients; International programme: applicants must have: (i) a dental degree recognised by the GDC as being sufficient for the purposes of temporary registration (temporary registration itself is not required); (ii) 2 or more years of postgraduate dental experience is desirable; (iii) IELTS 6.5; TOEFL 90 (Internet-based) or 577 (paper-based); (iv) the required immunisation against blood-borne viral disease and must not have any disease which would constitute a hazard to patients.
