This is a joint course delivered by Middlesex University and the College of Ayurveda; it provides students who already have a degree-level qualification in Ayurveda with the advanced knowledge and skills to enable them to practise professionally and independently as practitioners of ayurvedic medicine; 1st postgraduate ayurveda course in the UK (16-week clinical placement in India and/or Sri Lanka); the ayurvedic modules are delivered by the College of Ayurveda; and the research and dissertation modules by the university; Master's students are able to consolidate their knowledge and skills in ayurvedic medicine as well as specialise in the field of ayurveda through original research; the postgraduate diploma is designed to give students advanced clinical skills; as well as to explore such specialities of ayurveda as Kaumarabritya, Stri-roga, Shalya-Shalakya, clinical research and advanced Kayachikitsa, including an in-depth knowledge of, and practical skills in, Pañcakarma therapy.
